About

Djordje, iconographer

Hi, my name is Djordje Nikolic. I'm an iconographer and artist based in Auckland, New Zealand, and it is my aspiration to further the field of Byzantine iconography in Oceania.

Testimonials

“We commisioned Djordje to create two icons for our home and were amazed at how beautifully they turned out. We will treasure these icons and pass them onto our kids one day, so we are very happy that they are of such great quality and workmanship. Djordje was very careful to honour the traditional methods used for iconography - truly magnificent! We are planning on asking Djordje for some smaller icons soon as well”

“Djordje (George) exceeded all my expectations with the icon I ordered from him. The quality of the drawing is exceptional, and the spiritual value of the icon of Jesus Christ is truly profound. I gifted it to my godfather and his family, and it’s something that will bring light into their lives every day for generations to come.”

“We are amazed by the quality of the work that Djordje did for us. He completed two icons for us within the agreed time frame, which were both so beautiful that we asked him to do one more. The gaze, especially from the icon of the Holy Mother of God, calls me to prayer every morning and night. It is meaningful that Djordje received a blessing for his iconography from our priest and from our bishop; as our priest said while discussing his work with me, “ima tu nešto duboko” (there is depth here). We recommend Djordje to all our friends.”
